DESCRIPTION
Ronan Keating comes home to reconnect with family and old friends, explore Ireland’s dramatic western coastline and experience the country’s unique culture.
In this major new BBC Brand, Ronan is taking us to the place he loves most in the world: the Wild Atlantic Coast of Ireland. For Ronan this is a homecoming – he grew up in Dublin, but his earliest memories and most formative experiences are spending every summer holiday in the West.
Having left Ireland at 16, there’s always been so much more of the West that Ronan’s wanted to see – since he lost his brother Ciarán a couple of years ago he’s been determined to come back.
Much more than a travelogue, this journey is a chance for Ronan to heal and spend time in nature, to reconnect with the adventures of his childhood and with family and friends, to immerse himself in the Irish culture that fuels his own creativity – and to take us with him.
